FF 020 - How to Connect with the Top Influencers in Your Space

Hello from New York City!

And welcome to the 20th Edition of FRIDAY FAVORITES!

Check out this week's list of things I've learned, how I've implemented them, and what I'm enjoying or pondering.

If you're also on the adventurous pursuit of smart passive income it'll come in handy 😉.

All the best,
- Adrien

P.P.S: Don't know who I am? Look at this.

Useful read to see how scaling affects your business as it grows + the different obstacles that will arise and how to overcome them.

Necessary for any fast-growing startup.

Biggest takeaway: Fire quickly. Despite the emotions and personal attachments, this advice has been given time and time again by several different entrepreneurs I respect. It's the tough truth.

2. What I Am Doing: Connecting with A-Listers

I went all out to connect with Tim Ferriss personally this week.  It was intense and I'm waiting on the fruits of my labor.  (Unfortunately, I couldn't see him personally during his book signing of Tribe of Mentors at the Barnes & Noble in Union Square.., BUT I did manage to convince the store manager to hand him a letter I had written.  Hopefully, he got it.  Sometimes you have to try the hail mary.)

If you haven't already, listen to this episode about how to connect with A-Listers by Tim Ferriss.  And, if you want my personal summarized notes of the episode, email me at adrien@echostudio.co and I'll send you a copy.

Really quick and easy way to think about deliberating your mental and physical tasks for the day.  I actually tend to get rid of the "not important, not urgent" tasks altogether.  Maybe, I'll save them in Evernote if I know I will need to revisit them months down the line.

4. What I Have Re-Learned / Re-Applied: Give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give.

My digital networking pie chart

This is Leonidas.  Leonidas likes to take everything and give nothing.  Leonidas died.  Don't be like Leonidas.

Instead, make sure to give everything you can possibly offer:

  • especially gratitude (falls perfectly in line with our recent Thanksgiving celebration)
  • share your results with the influencers you follow
  • give away free resources you've used and tested yourself
  • be abundant in your giving and expect nothing in return
  • when you're tired of giving, give more and don't complain

Don't take it from me. Take it from the best.

5. Thought I Am Pondering:

Increased fear is directly correlated with decreased generosity.

Thanks for reading, have an awesome weekend! 😁
